1 1 SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. ~`
1 2 BY RULES AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE
1 3 A concurrent resolution requesting that the Revenue Estimating
1 4 Conference meet on or before March 7, 2002.
1 5 WHEREAS, the state budgetary process in the General
1 6 Assembly involves setting appropriation targets based
1 7 upon the estimated amount of revenues available to the
1 8 state; and
1 9 WHEREAS, with the uncertainty of state revenues, it
1 10 is important for the General Assembly to know if the
1 11 revenue estimate for the General Fund of the State to
1 12 be used in setting those appropriation targets is the
1 13 December 7, 2001, estimate or the estimate to be set
1 14 later during the next legislative session; NOW
1 15 THEREFORE,
1 16 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, THE HOUSE OF
1 17 REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, That the General Assembly
1 18 requests the Revenue Estimating Conference to meet to
1 19 make revenue estimates for the 2001-2002 fiscal year
1 20 and the 2002-2003 fiscal year on or before March 7,
1 21 2002.
