1 1 Amend the Senate amendment, H-8681, to House File
1 2 2515, as amended, passed, and reprinted by the House,
1 3 as follows:
1 4 #1. Page 2, by inserting after line 38 the
1 5 following:
1 6 "Sec. . Section 256.7, subsection 21, paragraph
1 7 c, Code Supplement 2001, is amended to read as
1 8 follows:
1 9 c. A requirement that all school districts and
1 10 accredited nonpublic schools annually report to the
1 11 department and the local community the district-wide
1 12 progress made in attaining student achievement goals
1 13 on the academic and other core indicators and the
1 14 district-wide progress made in attaining locally
1 15 established student learning goals. The school
1 16 districts and accredited nonpublic schools shall
1 17 demonstrate the use of multiple assessment measures in
1 18 determining student achievement levels. The school
1 19 districts and accredited nonpublic schools shall also
1 20 report the number of students who enter ninth grade
1 21 but do not graduate from the school or school
1 22 district; and the number of students who are tested
1 23 and the percentage of students who are so tested
1 24 annually. The board shall develop and adopt uniform
1 25 definitions consistent with the federal No Child Left
1 26 Behind Act of 2001, Pub. L. No. 107-110 and any
1 27 federal regulations adopted pursuant to the federal
1 28 Act. The school districts and accredited nonpublic
1 29 schools may report on other locally determined factors
1 30 influencing student achievement. The school districts
1 31 and accredited nonpublic schools shall also report to
1 32 the local community their results by individual
1 33 attendance center.""
