1 1 Amend Senate File 2327 as follows:
1 2 #1. By striking page 2, line 26, through page 4,
1 3 line 8, and inserting the following:
1 4 "( ) One member representing the Iowa harness
1 5 racing association appointed by the members of the
1 6 association.
1 7 ( ) One member representing the Iowa
1 8 thoroughbred breeders and owners association appointed
1 9 by the members of the association.
1 10 ( ) One member representing the Iowa
1 11 quarterhorse racing association appointed by the
1 12 members of the association.
1 13 ( ) Five members of the racing association of
1 14 central Iowa appointed by its membership. The five
1 15 members shall be appointed to terms of office as
1 16 determined by the other members of the public board of
1 17 directors. Thereafter, their successors shall be
1 18 selected by the other members of the public board of
1 19 directors to represent the public at large. An
1 20 elected or appointed city or county officer or
1 21 employee shall not serve on the board of directors
1 22 that holds the license to conduct gambling games at a
1 23 horse racetrack enclosure."
1 24 #2. By renumbering as necessary.
