1 1 Amend the House amendment, S-5259, to Senate File
1 2 348, as amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate,
1 3 as follows:
1 4 #1. Page 3, line 13, by inserting after the figure
1 5 "256F.5." the following: "In approving applications
1 6 submitted in accordance with this chapter, the state
1 7 board shall, to the extent possible, approve
1 8 applications in a manner that is balanced and
1 9 representative of schools located in school districts
1 10 with enrollments of one thousand one hundred ninety-
1 11 nine students or less, in school districts with
1 12 enrollments of more than one thousand one hundred
1 13 ninety-nine students but not more than four thousand
1 14 seven hundred fifty students, and in school districts
1 15 with enrollments of more than four thousand seven
1 16 hundred fifty students."
