  1  1    Amend Senate File 2288 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 2, by inserting after line 29 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "7.  Notwithstanding subsections 1 through 6, upon
  1  5 request by a county attorney, the attorney general or
  1  6 an assistant attorney general may act as county
  1  7 attorney in a criminal proceeding, on behalf of the
  1  8 state, without appointment by the board, the chief
  1  9 judge, or the chief judge's designee."
