  1  1    Amend Senate File 2304 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  By striking everything after the enacting
  1  3 clause and inserting the following:
  1  4    "Section 1.  IOWA ECONOMIC EMERGENCY FUND.
  1  5    1.  There is appropriated from the Iowa economic
  1  6 emergency fund created in section 8.55 to the general
  1  7 fund of the state for the fiscal year beginning July
  1  8 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002, the following
  1  9 amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, to be used
  1 10 for the purpose designated:
  1 11    For providing necessary funding to the general fund
  1 12 of the state:  
  1 13 .................................................. $120,000,000
  1 14    2.  The moneys appropriated in this section are
  1 15 declared to be appropriated for emergency expenditures
  1 16 as required in section 8.55, subsection 3, paragraph
  1 17 "a".
  1 18    Sec. 2.  EFFECTIVE DATE.  This Act, being deemed of
  1 19 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment."
  1 20    #2.  Title page, by striking lines 1 through 4 and
  1 21 inserting the following:  "An Act making an
  1 22 appropriation to the general fund of the state for the
  1 23 fiscal year beginning July 1, 2001, and providing an
  1 24 effective date."
