  1  1    Amend Senate File 2193 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, line 6, by striking the word "high-
  1  3 skilled", and inserting the following:  "high-paid".
  1  4    #2.  Page 1, line 25, by striking the word "who",
  1  5 and inserting the following:  "which".
  1  6    #3.  Page 3, by inserting after line 27 the
  1  7 following:
  1  8    "7.  The board may cooperate with the small
  1  9 business development centers in an effort to
  1 10 disseminate information regarding the availability of
  1 11 tax credits for investments in qualifying businesses
  1 12 under this division.  The board may also cooperate
  1 13 with the small business development centers to develop
  1 14 a standard seed capital application form that the
  1 15 small business development centers may submit to the
  1 16 board on behalf of clients seeking seed capital.  The
  1 17 board shall distribute copies of the application forms
  1 18 to all community-based seed capital funds and
  1 19 potential individual investors."
  1 20    #4.  Page 4, line 19, by inserting after the word
  1 21 "business." the following:  "In addition, the owner
  1 22 shall receive counseling through a small business
  1 23 development center, including an assessment of the
  1 24 business plan with a determination of the level of any
  1 25 technical assistance necessary to aid the business in
  1 26 developing a financially feasible project.  A small
  1 27 business development center may utilize the services
  1 28 of outside providers for all or part of the business
  1 29 plan assessment, including strategic marketing
  1 30 services at the university of northern Iowa for market
  1 31 assessments.  The business shall submit a copy of the
  1 32 business plan assessment to the board."
