  1  1    Amend Senate File 335, as passed by the Senate, as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, line 1, by inserting after the word
  1  4 "Code" the following:  "Supplement".
  1  5    #2.  Page 1, line 8, by inserting after the word
  1  6 "Code" the following:  "Supplement".
  1  7    #3.  Page 1, by inserting after line 12, the
  1  8 following:
  1  9    "Sec.   .  REFUNDS.  Refunds of taxes, interest, or
  1 10 penalties which arise from claims resulting from the
  1 11 enactment of section 422.45, subsection 16, in this
  1 12 Act, for sales occurring between April 1, 1995, and
  1 13 the effective date of this Act, shall be limited to
  1 14 fifty thousand dollars in the aggregate and shall not
  1 15 be allowed unless refund claims are filed prior to
  1 16 October 1, 2002, notwithstanding any other provision
  1 17 of law.  If the amount of claims totals more than
  1 18 fifty thousand dollars in the aggregate, the
  1 19 department of revenue and finance shall prorate the
  1 20 fifty thousand dollars among all claimants in relation
  1 21 to the amounts of the claimants' valid claims.
  1 22    Sec.    .  EFFECTIVE DATE AND RETROACTIVE
  1 23 APPLICABILITY PROVISION.  This Act, being deemed of
  1 24 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment and
  1 25 applies retroactively to April 1, 1995."
  1 26    #4.  Title page, line 2, by striking the words
  1 27 "livestock and" and inserting the following:
  1 28 "livestock,".
  1 29    #5.  Title page, line 3, by inserting after the
  1 30 word "species" the following:  ", providing for
  1 31 refunds, and including an effective date and
  1 32 retroactive applicability provision".
