  1  1    Amend Senate Concurrent Resolution 104 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, lines 6 and 7, by striking the words
  1  3 "Upper Mississippi and Illinois Rivers Inland
  1  4 Waterways" and inserting the following:  "Missouri
  1  5 River Inland Waterway".
  1  6    #2.  Page 1, by striking lines 9 and 10, and
  1  7 inserting the following:
  1  8    "WHEREAS, vital navigation locks and dams are
  1  9 contained".
  1 10    #3.  Page 1, by striking lines 12 and 13, and
  1 11 inserting the following:
  1 12    "WHEREAS, manufacturing facilities, terminals, and
  1 13 docks are located on the waterways of".
  1 14    #4.  Page 1, by striking lines 17 through 20, and
  1 15 inserting the following:  "standard of living in the
  1 16 Missouri river basin, and today supplies millions of
  1 17 tons of the nation's cargo, supporting agriculture and
  1 18 manufacturing; and".
  1 19    #5.  Page 1, by striking lines 21 through 23, and
  1 20 inserting the following:
  1 21    "WHEREAS, American agricultural exports including
  1 22 corn, wheat, and soybeans are shipped down the
  1 23 Missouri river".
  1 24    #6.  Page 1, line 24, by striking the word
  1 25 "rivers".
  1 26    #7.  By striking page 1, line 30 through page 2,
  1 27 line 2, and inserting the following:
  1 28    "WHEREAS, the Missouri lock and dam system annually
  1 29 saves our nation countless dollars in higher
  1 30 transportation costs; and".
  1 31    #8.  Page 2, by striking line 3, and inserting the
  1 32 following:
  1 33    "WHEREAS, millions of tons of".
  1 34    #9.  Page 2, by striking lines 6 and 7, and
  1 35 inserting the following:  "from, and within Iowa by
  1 36 barge traffic down the Missouri river; and".
  1 37    #10.  Page 2, by striking line 9, and inserting the
  1 38 following:  "an annual savings of millions of
  1 39 dollars".
  1 40    #11.  Page 2, by striking lines 11 through 13.
  1 41    #12.  Page 2, by striking lines 28 through 30, and
  1 42 inserting the following:
  1 43    "WHEREAS, the lakes and miles of wildlife refuge
  1 44 along the Missouri river basin support a vibrant and
  1 45 growing recreational industry,".
  1 46    #13.  Page 3, by striking lines 16 through 20.
  1 47    #14.  Page 3, by striking lines 22 through 24, and
  1 48 inserting the following:  "the Missouri river will
  1 49 provide needed construction and related jobs over many
  1 50 years; NOW THEREFORE,".
  2  1    #15.  Page 3, lines 27 and 28, by striking the
  2  2 words "Upper Mississippi and Illinois Rivers" and
  2  3 inserting the following:  "Missouri River".
