  1  1    Amend House File 759, as passed by the House, as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 3, by inserting after line 8, the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec. ___.  IOWA EMPOWERMENT FUND.  After applying
  1  6 the reduction made pursuant to executive order number
  1  7 24 to the appropriation made for the Iowa empowerment
  1  8 fund, there is appropriated from the general fund of
  1  9 the state to the department of education for the
  1 10 fiscal year beginning July 1, 2001, and ending June
  1 11 30, 2002, the following amount, or so much thereof as
  1 12 is necessary, to supplement the following
  1 13 appropriation:
  1 14    To supplement the appropriation made in 2001 Iowa
  1 15 Acts, chapter 181, section 6, subsection 10, for
  1 16 deposit in the school ready children grants account of
  1 17 the Iowa empowerment fund created in section 28.9:  
  1 18 .................................................. $    630,552".
  1 19    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
