  1  1    Amend House File 577, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 4, by inserting after line 24 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  Section 476A.2, Code 2001, is amended
  1  6 by adding the following new subsection:
  1  7    NEW SUBSECTION.  5.  This chapter shall not apply
  1  8 to an alternate energy production facility, as defined
  1  9 in section 476.42, on which construction is begun on
  1 10 or after July 1, 2001.  This provision does not exempt
  1 11 an alternate energy production facility from complying
  1 12 with other federal, state, and local requirements in
  1 13 connection with construction of an alternate energy
  1 14 production facility.
  1 15    However, a proposed alternate energy production
  1 16 facility shall provide written notice to the board, at
  1 17 least thirty days prior to commencing construction of
  1 18 the alternate energy production facility, of at least
  1 19 the following information:
  1 20    a.  The type of alternate energy production
  1 21 facility, including the fuel or other energy source to
  1 22 be utilized by the alternate energy production
  1 23 facility in the production of electrical energy.
  1 24    b.  The total production capacity of the alternate
  1 25 energy production facility, in megawatts.
  1 26    c.  The location of the proposed site for the
  1 27 alternate energy production facility.
  1 28    d.  The proposed date of operation when the
  1 29 alternate energy production facility is expected to be
  1 30 in service."
  1 31    #2.  By renumbering, relettering, redesignating,
  1 32 and correcting internal references as necessary.
