1 1 Amend Senate Resolution 50 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 2, by inserting after line 12 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Senate requests
1 5 the Temporary Redistricting Advisory Commission to
1 6 schedule and conduct at least three public hearings,
1 7 in different geographic regions of the state, on a
1 8 second plan of legislative and Congressional
1 9 redistricting submitted by the legislative service
1 10 bureau to the general assembly pursuant to Iowa Code
1 11 section 42.3, subsection 2, and following the hearings
1 12 and prior to consideration of the second plan by the
1 13 general assembly, to prepare and submit to the
1 14 secretary of the senate and the chief clerk of the
1 15 house a report summarizing information and testimony
1 16 received in the course of the hearings."
