  2  6 board of educational examiners, information relating
  2  7 to nontraditional practitioner preparation programs,
  2  8 including the number of programs available and
  2  9 geographic areas in which they are available, the
  2 10 number of individuals who apply for a nontraditional
  2 11 conditional license, the number of individuals
  2 12 possessing a nontraditional conditional license who
  2 13 apply for a provisional license, the subject areas in
  2 14 which persons who possess nontraditional conditional
  2 15 licenses are teaching and where they are teaching.
  2 16 The department shall submit its findings and
  2 17 recommendations in a report to the senate and house of
  2 18 representatives standing committees on education by
  2 19 December 1, 2002."
  2 20    #18.  Page 4, by striking lines 12 and 13 and
  2 21 inserting the following:  "practitioner preparation
  2 22 graduate programs.  The institutions offering approved
  2 23 practitioner preparation programs shall submit
  2 24 information to the department as requested by the
  2 25 department.  The department shall submit its findings
  2 26 and".
  2 27    #19.  Page 4, by inserting after line 16, the
  2 28 following:
  2 29    "Sec.    .  PRACTITIONER PREPARATION CREDIT
  2 30 TRANSFER STUDY.  The state board of regents shall
  2 31 conduct a study of the transfer of credits between
  2 32 practitioner preparation institutions, both in-state
  2 33 and out-of-state, to determine whether the transfer of
  2 34 credits by practitioner preparation institutions is
  2 35 fair and consistent.  The state board shall collect
  2 36 information relating to the transfer and acceptance of
  2 37 credits from a representative sample of in-state and
  2 38 out-of-state practitioner preparation institutions.
  2 39 The state board shall identify actions that may be
  2 40 taken to improve the ability of a student to transfer
  2 41 credits earned in one practitioner preparation
  2 42 institution to another.  The state board shall submit
  2 43 its findings and recommendations in a report to the
  2 44 senate and house of representatives standing
  2 45 committees on education by December 1, 2001."
