  1  1    Amend the amendment, S-3297, House File 73, as
  1  2 passed by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 10, the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  Section 483A.27, Code 2001, is amended
  1  6 by adding the following new subsection:
  1  7    NEW SUBSECTION.  11.  A hunter safety and ethics
  1  8 instructor certified by the department shall be
  1  9 allowed to conduct an approved hunter safety and
  1 10 ethics education course on public school property or
  1 11 other public property in this state.  The conduct of
  1 12 an approved hunter safety and ethics education course
  1 13 is not a violation of any public policy, rule,
  1 14 regulation, resolution, or ordinance which prohibits
  1 15 the possession, display, or use of a firearm, bow and
  1 16 arrow, or other hunting weapon on public school
  1 17 property or other public property in this state."
  1 18    #2.  Page 1, by striking lines 13 and 14 and
  1 19 inserting the following:  "possession, display, or use
  1 20 of firearms or other weapons on public property for
  1 21 educational purposes and the performance of honor
  1 22 guard services."
