  1  1    Amend House File 324, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 23, by inserting after line 23 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  NEW SECTION.  306.46  EFFECT ON ACCESS
  1  6 TO POLITICAL SUBDIVISION.
  1  7    In the construction, reconstruction, improvement,
  1  8 or maintenance of any highway under its jurisdiction,
  1  9 the department shall not close all paved highway
  1 10 access to a municipality without providing and
  1 11 maintaining adequate and well-marked detours that
  1 12 minimize the economic impact on the municipality due
  1 13 to the closure of the paved highway access.  The
  1 14 department shall coordinate a highway construction,
  1 15 reconstruction, improvement, or maintenance project
  1 16 that involves the closure of paved highway access to a
  1 17 municipality to allow the establishment of a schedule
  1 18 for the project that will minimize the economic impact
  1 19 on the municipality as a result of the project."
  1 20    #2.  By renumbering, redesignating, and correcting
  1 21 internal references as necessary.
