1 2 #1. Page 3, line 23, by striking the words
1 3 "outdoor advertising facility, poster,".
1 4 #2. Page 3, lines 25 and 26, by striking the words
1 5 "; however, the identification need not be conspicuous
1 6 on posters".
1 7 #3. Page 3, line 27, by inserting after the words
1 8 "yard signs," the following: "any sign or poster with
1 9 a dimension of sixteen square feet or less affixed to
1 10 a building or vehicle,".
1 11 #4. Page 5, by striking lines 10 through 26 and
1 12 inserting the following:
1 13 "1. a. Except as otherwise provided in this
1 14 section, yard signs shall only be placed upon
1 15 residential property with the permission of the
1 16 property owner or occupant.
1 17 b. This subsection does not prohibit placement of
1 18 yard signs on any of the following property:
1 19 (1) Agricultural land owned by individuals or by a
1 20 family farm operation as defined in section 9H.1,
1 21 subsections 8, 8A, 9, and 10, if the prior permission
1 22 of the occupant of the property is obtained. For the
1 23 purposes of this subsection, "agricultural land" means
1 24 agricultural land as defined in section 9H.1.
1 25 (2) Property owned by private individuals who have
1 26 rented or leased the property to a corporation, if the
1 27 prior permission of the owner is obtained.
1 28 (3) Residential property owned by a corporation
1 29 but rented or leased to a private individual, if the
1 30 prior permission of the private individual is
1 31 obtained.
1 32 (4) Property owned by a private individual that
1 33 has been zoned for commercial purposes, provided that
1 34 the prior permission of the private individual is
1 35 obtained.
1 36 (5) Any other property, including vacant lots,
1 37 owned by a private individual, provided that the
1 38 permission of the private individual is obtained.
1 39 2. Yard signs with dimensions of sixteen square
1 40 feet or less are exempt from the attribution statement
1 41 requirements in section 56.14."
1 42 #5. Page 5, by inserting after line 31 the
1 43 following:
1 44 "Sec. . Section 56.15, subsection 4, unnumbered
1 45 paragraph 2, Code 2001, is amended by striking the
1 46 unnumbered paragraph."
1 47 #6. By renumbering as necessary.
