  1  1    Amend House File 324, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 6, by striking lines 10 through 24.
  1  4    #2.  Page 7, line 12, by striking the figure "2002"
  1  5 and inserting the following:  "2001".
  1  6    #3.  Page 7, by inserting before line 23 the
  1  7 following:
  1  8    "Sec. 101.  DISPLACEMENT OF EMPLOYEES – OTHER
  1  9 EMPLOYMENT – RECALL.  If a city or county employee is
  1 10 displaced from employment as a result of a city's or
  1 11 county's compliance with the provisions of this
  1 12 division of this Act, which enact section 314.1,
  1 13 subsection 2, and amend section 314.1, unnumbered
  1 14 paragraph 2, and redesignate that unnumbered paragraph
  1 15 as section 314.1, subsection 3, the city or county
  1 16 shall offer the displaced employee other available
  1 17 employment with the city or county, as applicable.  A
  1 18 city or county employee who is placed in such other
  1 19 employment or who elected to be laid off shall be
  1 20 eligible for recall to the position held by the
  1 21 employee at the time of displacement.  This provision
  1 22 shall not supercede the provisions of any applicable
  1 23 collective bargaining agreement."
  1 24    #4.  Page 7, by inserting after line 30 the
  1 25 following:
  1 26    "   .  Section 101 of this Act relating to the
  1 27 displacement of employees."
  1 28    #5.  By renumbering, redesignating, and correcting
  1 29 internal references as necessary.
