  1  1    Amend the amendment, S-3129, to Senate File 267 as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 8, by striking lines 4 and 5 and
  1  4 inserting the following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  EFFECTIVE DATE.  Except for division
  1  6 III of this Act, providing for general reductions of
  1  7 appropriations, this Act, being deemed of immediate
  1  8 importance, takes effect upon enactment.  Division III
  1  9 of this Act shall only take effect upon enactment of a
  1 10 statute enumerating those specific services, local
  1 11 government transfer payments, public protection
  1 12 employee positions, college student funding streams,
  1 13 federally matched funding sources, and other
  1 14 expenditure items that are to be reduced, modified, or
  1 15 eliminated to accomplish the reductions in
  1 16 appropriations made in division III by this Act."
