  1  1    Section 1.  1998 Iowa Acts, chapter 1197, section 13, as
  1  2 amended by 2000 Iowa Acts, chapter 1177, section 4, is amended
  1  3 to read as follows:
  1  4    SEC. 13.  EFFECTIVE DATES – REPEALS.
  1  5    1.  This division and Division I of this Act, being deemed
  1  6 of immediate importance, take effect upon enactment.
  1  7    2.  Division I of this Act is repealed June 30, 2002 2006.
  1  8    3.  Division II of this Act takes effect July 1, 2002 2006.
  1  9    Sec. 2.  EFFECTIVE DATE.  This Act, being deemed of
  1 10 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.  
  1 11                           EXPLANATION
  1 12    This bill amends 2000 Iowa Acts, chapter 1177, which
  1 13 provides for the repeal of the sixth judicial district pilot
  1 14 project concerning probation revocation hearings as of June
  1 15 30, 2002, to delay the repeal of the project until June 30,
  1 16 2006.
  1 17    The bill takes effect upon enactment.
