1 1 Section 1. Section 22.7, Code Supplement 2001, is amended
1 2 by adding the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 43. Information concerning security
1 4 procedures or emergency preparedness information regarding a
1 5 school corporation or educational institution if disclosure
1 6 could reasonably be expected to jeopardize student, staff, or
1 7 visitor safety.
1 8 EXPLANATION
1 9 This bill adds to the list of public records that are kept
1 10 confidential, unless otherwise ordered by a court or a person
1 11 authorized to release the information, by requiring that
1 12 information concerning security procedures or emergency
1 13 preparedness information regarding a school corporation or
1 14 educational institution be kept confidential if disclosure
1 15 could reasonably be expected to jeopardize student, staff, or
1 16 visitor safety.
