1 1 Section 1. Section 422.45, Code 2001, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 62. The gross receipts from the sales of
1 4 tangible personal property to a nonprofit symphonic music
1 5 organization that is exempt from federal income tax under
1 6 section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and that is
1 7 organized and operated for the presentation of live public
1 8 symphonic performances on a regular basis.
1 9 EXPLANATION
1 10 This bill exempts from the sales and use taxes sales of
1 11 tangible personal property made to a tax-exempt nonprofit
1 12 symphonic music organization that presents live public
1 13 symphonic performances on a regular basis.
