1 1 Section 1. Section 321.194, subsection 1, paragraph a,
1 2 Code 2001, is amended by adding the following new unnumbered
1 3 paragraph:
1 4 NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH. A licensee operating a motor
1 5 vehicle pursuant to this section shall not allow a passenger,
1 6 other than a person accompanying the licensee in accordance
1 7 with section 321.180B, subsection 1, or a person related to
1 8 the licensee within the third degree of consanguinity, to ride
1 9 in the motor vehicle.
1 10 EXPLANATION
1 11 This bill amends Code section 321.194, relating to special
1 12 minors' driver's licenses, to provide that a minor operating a
1 13 motor vehicle pursuant to a school driver's license shall not
1 14 allow passengers other than relatives or persons accompanying
1 15 the minor in accordance with provisions relating to
1 16 instruction permits to ride in the motor vehicle.
