PAG LIN 1 1 Section 1. 877 Iowa administrative code, rule 7.13, 1 2 subrule 1, paragraph p, is nullified to read as follows: 1 3 p. Limitations on the dollar amount or duration of an 1 4 individual training account (ITA), or both. There may be a 1 5 limit for an individual participant that is based on the needs 1 6 identified in the individual employment plan, as documented by 1 7 an individual needs determination, or there may be a maximum 1 8 amount applied to all ITAs.The amount of any ITA must be1 9decreased by the amount of any Pell Grant awarded to a1 10participant.1 11 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This joint resolution, being 1 12 deemed of immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment. 1 13 EXPLANATION 1 14 This joint resolution nullifies a portion of an 1 15 administrative rule of the workforce development board of the 1 16 department of workforce development. The rule requires, under 1 17 the Iowa workforce investment Act program provisions providing 1 18 for a regional customer service plan, that the amount of any 1 19 individual training account must be reduced by the amount of a 1 20 Pell grant awarded to the participant. 1 21 The joint resolution takes effect upon enactment. 1 22 LSB 6290YH 79 1 23 kh/cls/14
