1 1 Section 1. Section 8.6, Code Supplement 2001, is amended
1 2 by adding the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 15. COMMON INTAKE FORM. To develop and
1 4 implement, with the departments of state government, a common
1 5 intake form system so that a person seeking to access or renew
1 6 a license, registration, service, program, or other function
1 7 of the executive branch may utilize the intake form system in
1 8 providing necessary information to secure access or renewal.
1 9 The intake form system shall utilize information technology
1 10 and shall be implemented in a manner so as to allow a person
1 11 to authorize information provided by the person to one
1 12 department to be transferred to other departments for purposes
1 13 of gaining such access or renewal with the other departments.
1 14 Each department receiving information from persons accessing
1 15 or renewing a license, registration, service, program, or
1 16 other function of the executive branch shall participate in
1 17 developing and implementing the intake form system.
1 18 EXPLANATION
1 19 This bill requires the director of the department of
1 20 management to work with executive branch departments to
1 21 develop a common intake form system for use with persons
1 22 seeking to access or renew a license, registration, service,
1 23 program, or other function of the executive branch. The
1 24 system is to be developed in a manner so that a person may
1 25 utilize the system in providing necessary information to
1 26 secure access or renewal. The system is required to be
1 27 information technology-based and allow a person who has
1 28 provided information to one department to authorize transfer
1 29 of the information to another department for purposes of
1 30 access or renewal. Each affected department is required to
1 31 participate in developing the system.
