1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 15.115 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
1 2 FUNDING DATABASE.
1 3 1. The department shall develop and maintain a database
1 4 consisting of federal, state, and private sources of funding
1 5 for economic development-related activities. The database
1 6 shall be available in both written and electronic formats.
1 7 The department shall update the database at least annually.
1 8 2. On an annual basis, the department shall notify all
1 9 local governments and economic development organizations in
1 10 the state of the availability of the economic development
1 11 funding database.
1 12 EXPLANATION
1 13 This bill provides that the department of economic
1 14 development shall develop and maintain a database consisting
1 15 of federal, state, and private sources of funding for economic
1 16 development-related activities. The bill provides that the
1 17 database shall be available in both written and electronic
1 18 formats. The bill requires the department to update the
1 19 database at least annually. The bill provides that, on an
1 20 annual basis, the department shall notify all local
1 21 governments and economic development organizations in the
1 22 state of the availability of the economic development funding
1 23 database.
