  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  80D.16  RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT.
  1  2    All persons appointed to serve as reserve peace officers
  1  3 shall reside within this state unless the governing body of
  1  4 the city, county, or state agency that employs a reserve peace
  1  5 officer grants that person an exemption from this requirement.  
  1  6                           EXPLANATION
  1  7    This bill adds a new section to Code chapter 80D that
  1  8 requires reserve peace officers to reside in the state unless
  1  9 they are granted an exemption from this requirement by the
  1 10 governing body of the city, county, or state agency that
  1 11 employs them.
