1 1 Section 1. ARTS DIVISION FUNDING. There is appropriated
1 2 from the general fund of the state to the department of
1 3 cultural affairs for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2001,
1 4 and ending June 30, 2002, the following amount, or so much
1 5 thereof as is necessary, to be used for the purposes
1 6 designated:
1 7 For salaries, support, maintenance, miscellaneous purposes,
1 8 including funds to match federal grants, and for not more than
1 9 the following full-time equivalent positions:
1 10 .................................................. $ 1,656,406
1 11 ............................................... FTEs 10.00
1 12 From the funds appropriated in this section, $150,000 shall
1 13 be used to supplement, not supplant, the amount the department
1 14 budgeted to fund the arts in education project grants and
1 15 artists in schools and communities residency grants for the
1 16 fiscal year beginning July 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002.
1 17 EXPLANATION
1 18 This bill appropriates moneys to the department of cultural
1 19 affairs from the general fund of the state for allocation to
1 20 the arts division for FY 2001-2002. The bill provides that
1 21 $150,000 of the amount allocated to the arts division shall be
1 22 used to supplement, not supplant, the amount the department
1 23 budgeted to fund the arts in education project grants and
1 24 artists in schools and communities residency grants in FY
1 25 2001-2002.
