1 1 Section 1. HIGHWAY 30 FOUR-LANE STUDY. The state
1 2 department of transportation shall conduct a study regarding
1 3 the feasibility of and need for expansion of United States
1 4 highway 30 between the cities of Cedar Rapids and DeWitt to a
1 5 four-lane divided highway. The department shall report its
1 6 findings and recommendations to the general assembly by
1 7 January 2, 2002.
1 8 EXPLANATION
1 9 This bill requires the state department of transportation
1 10 to conduct a study regarding the feasibility of and need for
1 11 expansion of United States highway 30 between the cities of
1 12 Cedar Rapids and DeWitt to a four-lane divided highway. The
1 13 department is required to report its findings and
1 14 recommendations to the general assembly by January 2, 2002.
