1 1 Section 1. LOW-INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.
1 2 There is appropriated from the Iowa economic emergency fund
1 3 created in section 8.55 to the department of human rights for
1 4 the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2000, and ending June 30,
1 5 2001, the following amount, or so much thereof as is
1 6 necessary, to be used for the purpose designated:
1 7 For supplementation of the low-income home energy
1 8 assistance program appropriation made in 2000 Iowa Acts,
1 9 chapter 1220, section 11:
1 10 .................................................. $ 20,000,000
1 11 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act, being deemed of
1 12 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.
1 13 EXPLANATION
1 14 This bill makes a supplemental appropriation for fiscal
1 15 year 2000-2001 from the Iowa economic emergency fund to the
1 16 department of human rights for the low-income home energy
1 17 assistance program.
1 18 The bill takes effect upon enactment.
