  1  1    Section 1.  Section 481A.54, Code 2001, is amended by
  1  2 adding the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  2A.  A person shall not discharge a
  1  4 shotgun with a slug load or a muzzleloader from a highway
  1  5 during a regular gun deer season.  As used in this section,
  1  6 "highway" means "street" or "highway" as defined in section
  1  7 321.1.  
  1  8                           EXPLANATION 
  1  9    This bill prohibits the discharge of a shotgun with a slug
  1 10 load or a muzzleloader from the right-of-way of a highway
  1 11 during a regular gun deer season.  A violator is subject to a
  1 12 scheduled fine of $20.
