1 1 Section 1. Section 483A.8, Code 2001, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 5. The commission shall provide, by rule,
1 4 for the issuance of an additional any-sex deer license to a
1 5 resident who first takes an antlerless deer during a season.
1 6 The rules shall specify the number of additional any-sex deer
1 7 licenses which may be issued. The additional any-sex deer
1 8 license shall be valid only for the season in which the
1 9 applicant's antlerless deer was taken. The fee for an
1 10 additional any-sex deer license shall the amount specified in
1 11 section 483A.1.
1 12 EXPLANATION
1 13 This bill provides that the natural resource commission
1 14 shall provide, by rule, for the issuance of an additional any-
1 15 sex deer license to a resident who first takes an antlerless
1 16 deer during a season. The rules shall specify the number of
1 17 additional any-sex deer licenses which may be issued. The
1 18 additional any-sex deer license shall be valid only for the
1 19 season in which the applicant's antlerless deer was taken.
1 20 The fee for an additional any-sex deer license shall be the
1 21 amount specified in section 483A.1 or $25.50.
