  1  1    Amend House File 2623 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 26, by inserting after line 11 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  CHILD WELFARE PURCHASE OF SERVICE
  1  5 PROVIDERS.  For the fiscal year beginning July 1,
  1  6 2002, if the department of human services determines
  1  7 that a service provided by a child welfare purchase of
  1  8 service provider can instead be provided directly by
  1  9 the department at a lower cost while maintaining at
  1 10 least the same level of quality, the department may
  1 11 use child and family services funding for the
  1 12 department to directly provide the service."
  1 13    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
