1 3 #1. Page 71, by inserting after line 8, the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. . Section 260C.24, Code 2001, is amended
1 6 to read as follows:
1 7 260C.24 DISTRIBUTION AND PAYMENT OF
1 8 APPROPRIATIONS.
1 9 1. If the amount of moneys appropriated by the
1 10 general assembly from the general fund of the state to
1 11 the department of education for community colleges for
1 12 general state financial aid exceeds the amount
1 13 appropriated in the prior fiscal year, the department
1 14 of education shall cause the excess to be distributed
1 15 to each community college based on each community
1 16 college's proportional share of the total full-time
1 17 equivalent enrollment.
1 18 2. Payment of appropriations for distribution
1 19 under this chapter, or of appropriations made in lieu
1 20 of such appropriations, shall be made by the
1 21 department of revenue and finance in monthly
1 22 installments due on or about the fifteenth of each
1 23 month of a budget year, and installments shall be as
1 24 nearly equal as possible, as determined by the
1 25 department of revenue and finance, taking into
1 26 consideration the relative budget and cash position of
1 27 the state resources."
