  1  1    Amend House File 2612 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 5, by inserting after line 10, the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Section 312.2, subsection 14, Code
  1  5 Supplement 2001, is amended to read as follows:
  1  6    14.  The treasurer of state, before making the
  1  7 allotments provided for in this section, shall credit
  1  8 monthly from the road use tax fund to the general fund
  1  9 of the state from revenue credited to the road use tax
  1 10 fund under section 423.24, subsection 1, paragraph
  1 11 "b", an amount equal to one-twentieth one-eighteenth
  1 12 of eighty percent of the revenue from the operation of
  1 13 section 423.7.
  1 14    There is appropriated from the general fund of the
  1 15 state for each fiscal year to the state department of
  1 16 transportation the amount of revenues credited to the
  1 17 general fund of the state during the fiscal year under
  1 18 this subsection to be used for purposes of public
  1 19 transit assistance under chapter 324A."
  1 20    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
