1 2 #1. Page 5, by striking lines 30 and 31, and
1 3 inserting the following:
1 4 "Sec. 100. APPROPRIATION – IOWA DEPARTMENT OF
1 5 PUBLIC HEALTH – PREGNANCY PREVENTION GRANTS. There
1 6 is appropriated from the general fund of the state to
1 7 the Iowa department of public health for the fiscal
1 8 year beginning July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003,
1 9 the following amount, or so much thereof as is
1 10 necessary, to be used for the purpose designated:
1 11 For abstinence-based adolescent pregnancy
1 12 prevention project grants:
1 13 .................................................. $ 96,000
1 14 Sec. 101. EFFECTIVE DATE – CONTINGENCY. This Act
1 15 takes effect October 1, 2002, only if section 100 of
1 16 this Act is enacted prior to that date and only if
1 17 funding is appropriated and available to the
1 18 department of public health in a sufficient amount to
1 19 cover the costs of the development, printing,
1 20 reprinting, and mailing of required materials, and the
1 21 costs of staffing resources associated with this Act
1 22 prior to that date."
1 23 #2. Title page, by striking line 2, and inserting
1 24 the following: "a criminal penalty, providing an
1 25 appropriation, and providing a contingent effective
1 26 date."
