  1  1    Amend House File 2549 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 10, by inserting after line 16 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  LEGISLATIVE INTENT.  It is the intent
  1  5 of the general assembly to cease funding the statewide
  1  6 team-based variable pay pilot program created pursuant
  1  7 to section 284.11, and to reallocate any funds
  1  8 appropriated for the pilot program for the fiscal year
  1  9 beginning July 1, 2001, pursuant to section 284.13,
  1 10 subsection 1, paragraph "a", which remain unencumbered
  1 11 and unobligated at the end of the fiscal year, to
  1 12 school districts to be used for purposes of meeting
  1 13 the minimum career teacher salary provisions of
  1 14 section 284.7, subsection 1, paragraph "b"."
  1 15    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
