  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  By striking everything after the enacting
  1  4 clause and inserting the following:
  1  5    "Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  1.18  ENGLISH – IOWA'S
  1  6 COMMON LANGUAGE.
  1  7    The general assembly of the state of Iowa
  1  8 recognizes that English is the common language used in
  1  9 Iowa and recognizes that fluency in English is
  1 10 necessary for full integration into the American
  1 11 culture."
  1 12    #2.  Title page, by striking lines 1 and 2 and
  1 13 inserting the following:  "An Act affirming that
  1 14 English is Iowa's common language."
