  1  3 "assessor." the following:  "If an assessor is elected
  1  4 to a city or county office, to a statewide elective
  1  5 office, or to the general assembly, the assessor shall
  1  6 resign as assessor before the beginning of the term of
  1  7 the office to which the assessor was elected."
