  1  1    Amend House File 2135 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by striking lines 6 through 12 and
  1  3 inserting the following:  "each by two members.  The
  1  4 planning and zoning commission shall include a member
  1  5 of the board of supervisors of the affected county and
  1  6 a resident of the area outside the city limits over
  1  7 which the zoning jurisdiction is extended.  The
  1  8 additional members of the board of adjustment shall be
  1  9 residents of the area outside the city limits over
  1 10 which the zoning jurisdiction is extended.  They The

  1 12 by the".
  1 13    #2.  Page 1, line 16, by inserting after the word
  1 14 "bodies." the following:  "However, if the extended
  1 15 zoning jurisdiction of a municipality extends into an
  1 16 adjacent county without a county zoning ordinance, the
  1 17 boards of supervisors of the affected counties,
  1 18 jointly, shall appoint one of their members to the
  1 19 planning and zoning commission."
  1 20    #3.  Page 1, by inserting after line 16 the
  1 21 following:
  1 22    "Sec. ___.  TRANSITION.  If, on the effective date
  1 23 of this Act, a vacancy does not exist in one of the
  1 24 two seats on the planning and zoning commission,
  1 25 represented by residents of the area outside the city
  1 26 limits pursuant to section 414.23, the incumbents may
  1 27 serve their unexpired terms.  Thereafter, one of the
  1 28 two additional members of the planning and zoning
  1 29 commission of a city extending its zoning jurisdiction
  1 30 shall be a member of the board of supervisors of the
  1 31 affected county pursuant to section 1 of this Act."
