  1  1    Amend House File 2079 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  By striking everything after the enacting
  1  3 clause and inserting the following:
  1  4    "Section 1.  Section 404A.4, subsection 4, Code
  1  5 2001, is amended to read as follows:
  1  6    4.  The total amount of tax credits that may be
  1  7 approved for a fiscal year under this chapter shall
  1  8 not exceed two four million four hundred thousand
  1  9 dollars.  Tax credit certificates shall be issued on
  1 10 the basis of the earliest awarding of certifications
  1 11 of completion as provided in subsection 1.  The
  1 12 departments of economic development and revenue and
  1 13 finance shall each adopt rules to jointly administer
  1 14 this subsection and shall provide by rule for the
  1 15 method to be used to determine for which fiscal year
  1 16 the tax credits are approved."
  1 17    #2.  Title page, by striking lines 1 through 7 and
  1 18 inserting the following:  "An Act increasing the
  1 19 amount of tax credits that may be granted in a fiscal
  1 20 year for historical preservation projects."
