  1  1    Amend Senate File 165, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 29 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Consistent with the designation of English as the
  1  6 official language of the state for such reports and
  1  7 publications, any road sign posted along a highway or
  1  8 interstate located on or near a state boundary line
  1  9 between the state of Iowa and a contiguous state,
  1 10 which is intended to notify travelers that they are
  1 11 entering the state of Iowa and to welcome them to the
  1 12 state, shall be changed to read "Welcome to Iowa, an
  1 13 English-is-the-official-language state"."
