1 2 #1. Page 1, line 1, by inserting after the word
1 3 "TAX" the following: "ADVISORY".
1 4 #2. Page 1, line 3, by inserting after the word
1 5 "tax" the following: "advisory".
1 6 #3. Page 1, by striking lines 11 through 21, and
1 7 inserting the following:
1 8 " . a. The council shall include six voting
1 9 members, including all of the following:
1 10 (1) The director or a designee appointed by the
1 11 director who shall serve as chairperson of the
1 12 council.
1 13 (2) Four persons appointed by the governor,
1 14 including all of the following:
1 15 (a) Persons who represent the Iowa retail
1 16 federation, the institute for cooperatives, and the
1 17 agribusiness association of Iowa. The governor may
1 18 make appointments of persons representing the
1 19 associations from a list of candidates that shall be
1 20 provided by the associations upon request by the
1 21 governor.
1 22 (b) Two agricultural producers actively engaged in
1 23 the production of a commodity. The two agricultural
1 24 producers shall use advanced technological innovations
1 25 in their production operations.
1 26 The director may appoint an alternate designee and
1 27 the governor may appoint other alternate voting
1 28 members in the same manner as the principal designee
1 29 or other voting members. An alternate member shall
1 30 serve as a substitute for the principal member who is
1 31 absent during a council meeting. The alternate member
1 32 who substitutes for an absent member shall have all
1 33 the same powers and duties of the absent member."
1 34 #4. By striking page 1, line 33 through page 2,
1 35 line 4, and inserting the following:
1 36 " . The members appointed by the governor shall
1 37 be appointed in compliance with sections 69.16 and
1 38 69.16A and shall serve three-year terms beginning and
1 39 ending as provided by section 69.19. Members
1 40 appointed by the governor shall serve for staggered
1 41 terms as provided by the governor and may be
1 42 reappointed."
1 43 #5. Page 2, by striking lines 8 and 9, and
1 44 inserting the following: "the call of the chairperson
1 45 or upon written request to the chairperson of any
1 46 three voting members. Four voting members".
1 47 #6. Page 2, line 17, by striking the words "a
1 48 designee of the director" and inserting the following:
1 49 "an employee of the department".
1 50 #7. Page 4, line 7, by striking the figure "2011"
2 1 and inserting the following: "2006".
2 2 #8. By renumbering as necessary.
