  1  1    Amend Senate File 140, as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 30 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec. 4A.  Section 422.7, Code 2001, is amended by
  1  5 adding the following new subsection:
  1  6    NEW SUBSECTION.  36.  Notwithstanding the method
  1  7 for computing income from an installment sale under
  1  8 section 453 of the Internal Revenue Code, as defined
  1  9 in section 422.3, the method to be used in computing
  1 10 income from an installment sale shall be the method
  1 11 under section 453 of the Internal Revenue Code, as
  1 12 amended up to and including January 1, 2000.  A
  1 13 taxpayer affected by this subsection shall make
  1 14 adjustments in the adjusted gross income pursuant to
  1 15 rules adopted by the director."
  1 16    #2.  Page 4, line 20, by inserting after the word
  1 17 "through" the following:  "4A,".
