1 2 #1. By striking everything after the enacting
1 3 clause and inserting the following:
1 4 "Section 1. APPROPRIATION OF MONEYS DEPOSITED IN
1 5 THE TEACHER COMPENSATION REFORM AND STUDENT
1 6 ACHIEVEMENT SAVINGS ACCOUNT FUND. Moneys deposited in
1 7 the teacher compensation reform and student
1 8 achievement savings account fund created in section
1 9 12.90, as of July 1, 2001, if House File 413 is
1 10 enacted by the Seventy-ninth General Assembly, 2001
1 11 Session, are appropriated to the department of
1 12 education for distribution to school districts as
1 13 provided in this section. Moneys appropriated in this
1 14 section shall be allocated to school districts in the
1 15 proportion that the basic enrollment of a school
1 16 district bears to the sum of the basic enrollments of
1 17 all school districts in the state for the budget year.
1 18 A school district shall expend funds received pursuant
1 19 to this section for purposes of implementing teacher
1 20 compensation reform and student achievement measures
1 21 pursuant to the provisions of a collective bargaining
1 22 agreement negotiated under the provisions of chapter
1 23 20.
1 24 Sec. 2. ALLOCATION AND USE OF PHASE I MONEYS.
1 25 Notwithstanding the provisions of chapter 294A, moneys
1 26 appropriated and allocated in an amount to meet the
1 27 minimum salary requirements of chapter 294A for
1 28 purposes of phase I for the fiscal year beginning July
1 29 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002, shall be allocated
1 30 to school districts in the proportion that the basic
1 31 enrollment of a school district bears to the sum of
1 32 the basic enrollments of all school districts in the
1 33 state for the budget year. A school district shall
1 34 expend funds received pursuant to this section for
1 35 purposes of implementing teacher compensation reform
1 36 measures pursuant to the provisions of a collective
1 37 bargaining agreement negotiated under the provisions
1 38 of chapter 20."
1 39 #2. Title page, by striking lines 1 and 2 and
1 40 inserting the following: "An Act relating to and
1 41 making appropriations of moneys for purposes of
1 42 teacher compensation reform and student achievement."
