  1  1    Amend House File 747 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by inserting before line 1, the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Section 1.  Section 99F.7, subsection 10,
  1  5 paragraph b, Code 2001, is amended to read as follows:
  1  6    b.  If licenses to conduct gambling games and to
  1  7 operate an excursion gambling boat or a racetrack
  1  8 enclosure are in effect pursuant to a referendum as
  1  9 set forth in this section and are subsequently
  1 10 disapproved by a referendum of the county electorate,
  1 11 the licenses issued shall be revoked by the commission
  1 12 after a referendum approving gambling games on
  1 13 excursion gambling boats shall remain valid and are
  1 14 subject to renewal for a total of nine years from the
  1 15 date of original issue unless the commission revokes a
  1 16 license at an earlier date as provided in this chapter
  1 17 within six months after the certification of the
  1 18 election results."
  1 19    #2.  Title page, line 1, by inserting after the
  1 20 word "Act" the following:  "relating to gambling by
  1 21 providing for the revocation of licenses after an
  1 22 unfavorable referendum and".
  1 23    #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
