  1  1    Amend Senate File 535, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 12, by inserting after line 9 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "   .  SUSPENSION OF FY 2001-2002 DEPARTMENTAL
  1  6 RESPONSIBILITIES.  For the fiscal year beginning July
  1  7 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002, notwithstanding any
  1  8 other provision of the Code to the contrary, the state
  1  9 board of education may suspend the department of
  1 10 education's administration, regulation, oversight, and
  1 11 enforcement duties relating to state-funded programs."
  1 12    2.  By renumbering as necessary.
