  1  1    Amend Senate File 535, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 4, line 8, by striking the figure "98.45"
  1  4 and inserting the following:  "104.45".
  1  5    #2.  Page 8, by striking lines 33 through 35 and
  1  6 inserting the following:  "salaries, support,
  1  7 maintenance, and miscellaneous purposes:"
  1  8    #3.  Page 9, by striking line 2.
  1  9    #4.  Page 9, by striking lines 25 through 34 and
  1 10 inserting the following:
  1 11    "b.  Notwithstanding any other provision of law to
  1 12 the contrary, for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
  1 13 2001, the total amount available for distribution for
  1 14 that fiscal year from the school ready children grants
  1 15 account from the appropriation made in this
  1 16 subsection, in 2001 Iowa Acts, Senate File 537, if
  1 17 enacted, and in any other appropriation made to the
  1 18 account for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2001,
  1 19 shall be distributed as follows:
  1 20    (1)  The designated community empowerment areas
  1 21 that first received a school ready children grant in a
  1 22 fiscal year prior to fiscal year 2000-2001 shall
  1 23 receive 94 percent of the amount distributed to each
  1 24 area in fiscal year 2000-2001.
  1 25    (2)  The designated community empowerment areas
  1 26 that first received a school ready children grant in
  1 27 fiscal year 2000-2001 shall receive 74.185 percent of
  1 28 the amount distributed to each area in fiscal year
  1 29 2000-2001, as adjusted for annualization."
  1 30    #5.  By renumbering, relettering, or redesignating
  1 31 and correcting internal references as necessary.
