1 2 #1. Page 35, by inserting after line 15 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. . CENTRAL INTAKE FOR CHILD PROTECTION.
1 5 If specific statutory authorization is enacted by the
1 6 Seventy-ninth General Assembly, 2002 Session, to
1 7 establish a statewide central intake unit for
1 8 receiving child abuse reports, there is appropriated
1 9 from the general fund of the state to the department
1 10 of human services for the fiscal year beginning July
1 11 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002, the following
1 12 amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, to be used
1 13 for the purpose designated:
1 14 For establishment in accordance with law of a
1 15 statewide central intake unit for receiving child
1 16 abuse reports:
1 17 .................................................. $ 250,000
1 18 It is the intent of the general assembly to give
1 19 prompt consideration to the report of any 2001
1 20 legislative interim study committee established by the
1 21 legislative council regarding the establishment of a
1 22 central intake unit for receiving child abuse
1 23 reports."
