  1  1    Amend Senate File 240, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, line 26, by inserting after the word
  1  4 "corporation." the following:
  1  5    "At the hearing held pursuant to section 73A.3, or
  1  6 no later than thirty days after the date of the
  1  7 hearing, the board shall take action to adopt a
  1  8 resolution to direct the county commissioner of
  1  9 elections to submit the question of entering into the
  1 10 agreement to the registered voters of the school
  1 11 district at the next regular school election or at a
  1 12 special election.  If sixty percent of those voting on
  1 13 the question favors entering into the agreement, the
  1 14 board shall adopt a resolution to enter into the
  1 15 agreement and certify the results of the election to
  1 16 the department of management."
