  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-1297 to House File 577 as

  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 8 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "#   .  Page 2, line 13, by striking the word "The"
  1  6 and inserting the following:  "Prior to implementation
  1  7 of the contract, and prior to inclusion of contract
  1  8 costs in the regulated retail rates of the public
  1  9 utility, the public utility shall submit the proposed
  1 10 contract to a vote of its retail customers.  If a
  1 11 majority of the retail customers approve the contract,
  1 12 then the"."
